Which stories are special and why?
Our Learning Outcomes:
- Talk about some religious stories
- Recognise some religious words, e.g. about God
- Identify some of their own feelings in the stories they hear
- Identify a sacred text e.g. Bible, Torah
- Talk about some of the things these stories teach believers
We listened to a new Bible story this week - Daniel and the Lions' Den. We loved making the face of a lion from loose part art bits and pieces! Some of us made dens for Daniel and the lions too. We also talked about times we have been brave!
We filled our own arks with pairs of animals and we retold the story using small world toys.
We really enjoyed in our story circle, helping to tell the story of Noah's Ark.
We had a wonderful time sharing our favourite stories from home.
We really enjoyed sitting in the teacher's chair and talking about our books to the class!
