Dream, Believe, Love, Work, Achieve!

Why is the word 'God' special to Christians?

Our Learning Outcomes, for this unit, are:

• Talk about things they find interesting, puzzling or wonderful and

also about their own experiences and feelings about the world

• Retell stories, talking about what they say about the world, God, human beings

• Think about the wonders of the natural world, expressing ideas and feelings

• Say how and when Christians like to thank their Creator

• Talk about what people do to mess up the world and what they do to look after it.

On Day 6 of creation in the Bible story, God made animals and people. We created our own animals, using playdoh and lots of other bits and bobs. We think they are amazing!

We looked at Day 5 of the creation story, which is all about God making fish and birds. We made our own fish using paper plates, paint and collage.

Here we are making our fish and being proud of our fish!

We looked at Day 4 of creation and practised using our pencil and scissor skills to make a sun each. We also worked as a team to make a huge moon of flour and water! We made craters on the moon and added twinkly stars too.

We had a super time looking a different types of flowers growing for Day 3 of creation. They were beautiful! We created our own flowers by printing with paint and tools.

We made our own sea and sky pictures to show Day 2 of the creation story from the Bible. We ripped and tore the paper to make waves. It was great for our fine motor skills.

We loved sitting in our story circle, listening to the story of God's creation from the Bible. Look at all the things that God made in the story!
