Writing to inform/Writing to Persuade

'The Secret of Black Rock' will provide the opportunity to write to inform and write to persuade, which will prepare us for our transition to Year 3, where we will be learning further persuasive techniques. Firstly, we will be focusing on create a set of instructions to guide visitors to Black Rock. We will be looking at including a title, number steps, use of imperative verbs, providing commands and using diagrams to support the information provided. We will then create a persuasive letter to persuade the reader to not kill Black Rock. We will look at providing a clear title, using conjunctions to share an opinion, using accurate punctuation and capital letters.
