Place Value

In maths this half term, we will learning about place value. We will be start by revisiting how to represent and partition numbers to 100 before then moving on to working with numbers up to 1000. We will be learning how to represent and partition numbers to 1000, find 1, 10 or 100 more less than a given number, represent numbers to 1000 on a number line and how to compare and order them.

Addition and Subtraction

In our addition and subtraction unit of work, we will be adding and subtracting 1s, 10s and 100s from a given number before learning how to add and subtract two two-digit numbers together with and without crossing over a 10 or 100. We will learn both mental and written methods to support us with addition and subtraction.
