Geography

In geography we will be exploring the question 'Why is trade so important? A case study of India and the tea trade'.

We will be learning about the continent of Asia before focusing specifically on the country of India. Studying the tea trade in India, will support us in learning about what trade is, the importance of trade and how it connects countries to each other. We will also think about what we are able to grow and produce locally to us and the benefits this brings to the area.

JIGSAW

Our JIGSAW puzzle piece this half term is 'Celebrating Difference'. We will learn that all families are different and will think about what makes us unique as individuals. Within our Jigsaw lessons, we will also focus on 'anti-bullying', what bullying is and what we can do if we feel that ourselves or our peers are being bullied.

PE

Our PE focusses this half term are gymnastics and ball skills. In gymnastics, we will be learning about different balances and develop these on apparatus. We will then develop stepping into shape jumps and completing straight, barrel and forward rolls. We will then explore different transitions and sequences to consolidate and bring our learning together

DT

In our DT lessons, we will be sewing. We will be revisiting running stitch and learning how to use cross-stitch. We will also learn how to use applique before designing, decorating and assembling our own cushions.

Computing
