Multiplication and Division

In Maths, our focus will be on multiplication and division. We will be learning how to multiply and divide by 3, 4 and 8, which are our times-table focusses for this year. To support our understanding of the 4 and 8 x tables, we will be making links and connections between the 2, 4 and 8 x table to support us. After securing our knowledge on the 3, 4 and 8 x table, we will then use these to support us in learning how to multiply and divide a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number. We will learn about related calculations before applying our knowledge of partitioning to help us to multiplying larger numbers.
