How to be an Anglo Saxon

In English, we are writing to inform. Our first unit of work will focus on the text 'How to be an Anglo-Saxon in 13 easy stages' by Scoular Anderson, with a particular focus on how to be a warrior. The unit of work aims for the children to create their own explantory text to inform people about how to be a warrior. There will be a SPAG focus on prepositions, conjunctions and adverbs, as well as using an informal tone and present perfect tense. 

The History Detective Investigates:

We will also be exploring texts written by The History Detectives based around the Anglo Saxons and Vikings to inform and develop our knowledge to create a non-chronological report. We will have a focus on the structure of the text and the development of cohesive sentences.
