We want our pupils to love art and design. We want them to have no limits to what their ambitions are and grow up wanting to be:

artists,

illustrators,

painters,

graphic designers,

or printmakers!

We want them to embody our core values and be creative.

We want to develop a keen eye for detail.

Our aims for Art and Design. 

We aim for our artists to:

• Generate ideas and using sketchbooks, taking inspiration from a range of artists

• Making skills: drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, mixed media, craft techniques and sculpture
• Formal elements: colour, form, line, pattern, shape, texture and tone
• Knowledge of artists' work and techniques
• Evaluating: critiquing their own work and that of others
