Multiplication and Divison

In maths, we will continue to learn our 2, 5 and 10 x table facts. We will explore what it means to multiply and divide by these numbers, using a range of maths manipulatives to support us with this.

Length and Height 

During this topic of learning, we will learn how to measure in cm, measure in m, compare length and height, order length and height and use the four operations that we have already learnt and apply them to lengths and heights. There will be lots of opportunities for practical work in this unit.

Mass and Capacity 

We will begin by discussing what 'mass' means before comparing different masses. We will then measure in both grams and kilograms and apply the four operations to mass. Once we have learnt about mass, we will move on to capacity. We will compare volume and capacities before measuring in millilitres and litres and applying the four operations to these.
