The Bear and the Piano
This half term, we will use The Bear and the Piano to support our writing. We will start by analysing the front cover and making predictions about the story. Next, we will explore the characters’ feelings and use a range of conjunctions to extend our sentences.
We will then examine the author’s writing style and themes, focusing on emotive language to write emotion-based sentences. Finally, we will learn the features of a letter and write our own from the bear’s perspective.
