Why is the Torah so important to Jewish people?

In our R.E. lessons, the children will be exploring the big question 'Why is the Torah so important to Jewish people?' They will explain Jewish beliefs about God, think about how the Torah is treated and make connections between Jewish commandments and how Jewish people live their lives.
