Money 

We will begin this half term by learning about money. In Year 2, children will learn:

• efficient ways to count pounds and pence
• how to choose different ways to make the same amounts
• comparing amounts of money
• ways to make a pound 
• finding changing 
• how to answer money-related two-step problems

Multiplication and Division

Multiplication and Division will form the second part of our maths learning this half term. In Year 2, children will learn:

• to recognise, make and add equal groups
• what the multiplication symbol is 
• how to use arrays 
• making equal groups through grouping and sharing
• the 2x table
• the 5x table
• the 10x table
