Taking Flight by Adam Hancher 

We will be using the text 'Taking Flight' to support our writing. Our focus will be on writing to inform with children writing a non-chronological report on the Wright Brothers at the end of the unit. 

Throughout the unit, children will be collating information on the Wright brothers through retrieval, research and dictated sentences. Children will learn how to use apostrophes to show singular possession, using capital letters for proper nouns and exploring different suffixes they can use to add detail and interest to their writing.
