Computing

This half term we will be learning how to move a robot. This will be linked with using Bee-bots and how to move them using a simple programme.

PE

Sending and receiving:

In this unit pupils develop their sending and receiving skills including throwing and catching, rolling, kicking, tracking and stopping a ball.

Gymnastics:

In this unit, pupils explore and develop basic gymnastic actions on the floor and using low apparatus.

Music

This unit is: Exploring sounds. The children will explore keeping a beat and moving in time to it. They will also have chances to create music and use instruments.

PSHE – Jigsaw Dreams and Goals:

Includes goal setting, aspirations for yourself and the world and Science working together.

History

How have toys changed? The children will be sequencing toys into a physical timeline. They will investigate artefacts from the past and begin to pose questions. They will look at how they have changed from their grandparent’s time to present day.

DT Mechanisms 

Moving story books – They will explore sliders and leavers and create their own moving story book

Mechanisms – Wheels and axels
