Music
This unit is: Dance, Sing and Play!
Music is made up of long and short sounds called ‘rhythm’ and high and low sounds that we call ‘pitch’. As you dance, sing, and play instruments with the music in this unit, we will explore these sounds and how they work together.
History
How am I making History?
We will look at what history means to the children and some of their memories. Then we will expand this to what childhoods looked like in the past e.g. their parents and grandparents.
Art
Sculpture and 3D.
The children will be using paper to create a range of different sculptures. Learning how to manipulate the paper in different ways
Physical Education
Ball skills
In this unit pupils will explore and develop their fundamental ball skills such as throwing and catching, rolling and dribbling with both hands and feet.
Forest school
We will be investigating the natural world around us, specifically investigating trees.
PSHE – Jigsaw
Celebrating difference:
Includes anti-bullying and diversity work.
Computing
They will develop their understanding of a range of tools used for digital painting. They then use these tools to create their own digital paintings, while gaining inspiration from a range of artists’ work.
