Konflux Reading Workshop - September 2023

On Wednesday 13th September, the school celebrated Roald Dahl Day. The Year 2 pupils enjoyed exploring the characters from three of Roald Dahl's classics with Konflux theatre. The BFG, Fantastic Mr. Fox and Bruce transported the children into the world of imagination and excitement. 

Recycling Challenge - October 2023

Working with Litter Heroes, Year 2 were challenged to clean up their school grounds. The children divided up into teams and explored different areas of the school playground. The children filled 10 buckets from the search and were very proud of their efforts!

Art - Craft and Design - Map it out

In our Art unit, we have been exploring different strategies to create a map. The children have explored strategies including drawing (including key landmarks), making felt, using jigsaw pieces to create an abstract composition, using cellophane shapes to make a composition and designing a print with simple lines.

Design and Technology - Cooking and Nutrition: Balanced diet

This term, our children have been learning about the main food groups. We have been identifying foods that belong to each group, before describing the taste, feel and smell of a given food. The children then designed three different wrap ideas, considering different flavour combinations and constructing a wrap that meets the design brief and their plan.
