Tell us a little bit about yourself...
I have been a teacher for 25 years in Herefordshire and Worcestershire. I trained at Worcester, met my husband here and stayed ever since! I am passionate about my job and what drives me is the need to prepare our children for their future lives and help them to be the best that they can be. I have been headteacher at Bredon Hancock's for over 8 years. The school has changed and flourished over those years and I am very proud of the effort and enthusiasm that our team, including Governors, has demonstrated during that time.
What made you want to be a governor?
I was a staff governor at my previous school and really valued my role as a governor there. When I started at Bredon Hancock's as head teacher I had the choice of being a governor or not. I valued the importance of decision making in shaping the future of our provision and to have the right to vote was important to me, so I opted in! We have been instrumental in taking our school from Good to Outstanding and we are very proud of our school and all that we have achieved.
