Homework 8.12.18 to 14.12.18
A reminder that the children will be having a spelling test on a mix of all the spellings they have practised over the term. All the spellings are on the website within our Class 5 page. The test will take place on Thursday 13th December 2018.
Class 5 Homework 30.11.18 to 7.12.18
Please could the children complete their own Anderson Shelters. We are having a Class 5 Museum at the end of term and would love to have the shelters on display for everyone to see. If you would like to make them out of cake, it would be fantastic, but please only bring these in on the morning of Wednesday 12th December.
The children also have a comprehension to complete. This is a wonderful chance to work together on developing comprehension answers about a classic text. This children will then stick this into their homework books and we will mark and discuss the answers together as a class. Education City is also available for all children to access and play!
We are not setting any new spellings this week. If you could revise all the spellings the children have done over the term and we will have an end of term test during the week beginning 10th December 2018. All the spellings lists will be in your child's spelling book and I will also place the master lists below.
Please could the children continue to practise their 9 and 12 times tables.
Autumn Term Homework 23.11.18 hand in 29.11.18
This homework is continuous from the previous week and is detailed below.
This week the spellings homework is focusing on contracted apostrophes. The spellings are posted below and the children are all clear and the groups they are in. The children will be tested on these next Thursday.
Times Tables Homework
I would like the children to focus on the times tables of 9 and 12. The children will be tested on these tables next Wednesday.
As always, please continue to support the children in reading four times a week.
Autumn Week 1 14.9.18 and due in 20.9.18
The children are beginning their topic on World War 1. Fir their first homework of the term, I would like them to start researching about the start of the war. A template of possible questions are included below for the children to answer. This year, in Key Stage 2, the children will have their 'Homework Books' (purple) where they will be able to collate all their homework for the year and use if within their lessons to develop their learning even further.
The children also have their first set of spellings for the year. These again are attached below for you. We will test the children in their spellings on Thursday.
The times table for the week are both the 2 and the 5 times tables. In the early stages of the term we will be looking over and reviewing the tables.
